JOB SUMMARY

A full-service printing company looking for an experienced Pressroom Manager to join its team.

The Press Manager is responsible for managing all activities related to providing a Safe work environment for employees and producing print products that meet customer requirements.

Job Description

Responsible for first-line direction of non-exempt employees involved in Press operations.
Reviews production schedules, material and manpower resources. Assigns employees to meet quality expectations and maximize production objectives to attain output requirements.
Informs assigned employees of production and material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve problems affecting schedules.
Ensure staff is trained and practices safe work habits when operating equipment. Resolve quality and production issues that arise and keep management informed of issues.
Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures.
Maintain a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods.
Essential Functions (tasks, duties, responsibilities most important to the success of the job):

Regularly communicate with various levels of management, staff and customers
Institute and maintain policies and procedures related to Press Operations
Schedule, prioritize, and execute job responsibilities to achieve on-time completion of quality jobs with maximum efficiency and minimum waste
Act as facilitator of training, learning and development
Foster a team atmosphere and build positive relationships both internally and externally
Monitor production activity and production speeds to meet and exceed the set efficiency goals and set quality standards
Trains personnel and institute changes to increase quality and production.
Makes recommendations for revisions to working procedures to meet company set goals and standards
Institute and maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedules on all equipment in coordination with Press and Maintenance crews
