Maintenance Technicians
JOB SUMMARY:
A large flexible packaging converter of packaging materials is seeking a maintenance technician/electrician to join its team.
Shift: 1st 8:00am to 4pm 2nd Shift-4:00 pm to 12:30 pm, 3rd 12:30pm-8:00am M-FMust Haves
H.S. Diploma or GED
5+ years machine maintenance/electrical experience on high-speed production equipment
PLC experience is not super helpful b/c we won’t be doing the programming, but candidate should be able to figure out what’s wrong with the machine via PLC.
Need to be able to troubleshoot low voltage without looking at blueprints
Must have experience running conduit and pulling wires
Ability to read, understand blueprints and CAD drawings
Possess good interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.

Tools – Must use your own hand tools and bring with on 1st day on the job
Responsibilities
Carry out preventative maintenance for production equipment and machinery (Lamination, Slitting, Press and Converting machines), auxiliary equipment, climate control equipment, and material handling equipment, including hoists minimizing downtime.
Assist in the installation of all, new equipment/machinery ensuring that it meets health & safety legislation.
Assist the Manufacturing Engineers and Technical supervisors in solving technical or quality-related concerns/problems.
Support facility maintenance and grounds equipment (restrooms, lights, walkways, loading docks, spring and fall maintenance…. Etc.).
Fabricate tooling for pouch production utilizing in house milling machine.
Provide onsite and offsite production support for secondary pouch procedures (die cutting, roll stock, round cornering. Etc).
Organizes and preps for major repairs, this may include offsite coordination with vendors and contractors.
